our story
Chef Kristen Ryan is an Edgebrook resident and mom to three pastry loving children. Kristen is a former high school teacher and a classically trained Pastry Chef.
From Chicago to France, she has trained under some of the world’s top pastry chefs. While working at Pierre Herme in Paris, she cultivated her love of the French macaron. She has worked in France, Nomi at the Park Hyatt, and taught at both the French Pastry School here in Chicago and After School Matters teaching the art of baking and pastry to aspiring pastry chefs and teens alike.
Kristen believes in sharing her passion and love for pastry, specifically macarons, with others through her creation of Meringue.
